| The Area | Sightseeing
Most of the area is dedicated National Park, County Wicklow is the garden of Ireland, with its valleys, forests, mountains and waterfalls. On any fine day or even for a long walk along its 3 miles of beaches, Brittas Bay always proves a firm favourite. It is well worth a visit and is 20 minutes by car from Glenmalure Pines. Don't forget to stop in Jack White's Pub (Ireland's most famous), just ask anybody why, the notorious Black Widow might ring a bell or two! If this proves too much, Dublin city centre is an hour by train, tram or car. Locally, Avoca (Ballykissangel), Powerscourt and Enniskerry, Glendalough, the Wicklow and Sally Gaps are all well worth a visit. | |
